# The Frontier Marketing Framework — Seven Layers

Canonical HTML source: https://frontiermarketing.org/framework/

Frontier Marketing is the strategic discipline of building today for the marketing environment that is coming next. Its framework has seven layers, ordered from the most durable to the most frequently replaced.

## 1. Strategy

Where the organisation competes and why it should remain relevant. The layer that changes least and governs every layer below it.

## 2. Resilient Value Proposition

A differentiator that remains true and defensible as buyers, problems and technologies evolve. Tested against plausible future states of the buyer's problem rather than only against current competitors.

## 3. Entities

The organisations, people, products, services, problems, categories, concepts and technologies whose explicit relationships define meaning in a market. Entity architecture makes those relationships legible to humans and machines alike.

## 4. Retrievability

The capacity to be found, correctly understood, distinguished and recommended by humans, search systems, language models and autonomous agents. Its four components are findability, interpretability, distinguishability and recommendability.

## 5. Agentic Ecosystems

A connected set of AI agents, data and workflows that together form organisational capability, as distinct from a standalone AI tool, an AI assistant or a single agent operating alone.

## 6. GTM Compounding

The design of go-to-market components so that they exchange data, learning, audiences, signals, assets and capability, accumulating capacity over time rather than producing isolated campaign output.

## 7. Continuous Frontier Exploration

The systematic detection, evaluation, testing and adoption of emerging capabilities relevant to the organisation's strategy — governed exploration, not random experimentation.
